What Banking Help Covers

Through practical coaching and education, we help you build banking systems that actually work for your life and household:

Understanding different everyday bank accounts and common bank terminology

Setting up a practical system of bills, spending, savings and emergency-fund accounts

Joint household banking systems that both partners understand

Separating personal and business banking

Understanding your statements and transactions

Organising direct debits and automatic payments

Getting confident with online and mobile banking features

Bank security, fraud and scam awareness

Organising banking paperwork

Preparing questions and documents before a bank meeting, and knowing what a bank may ask for

Understanding how authorities on accounts generally work

Organising banking after illness, incapacity, separation, a death or major household change

Banking Help for Business

If you run a business or you’re starting one, we provide general education and practical organisation around opening and organising business bank accounts, separating tax, operating and personal money, account structures, payment systems, banking administration, and preparing information for a bank.

This is education and organisation. We don’t recommend a particular bank or account product where doing so would cross into personalised regulated financial advice.

Power of Attorney & Banking: Practical Support, Clear Limits

Dealing with a bank around a Power of Attorney or account authority can feel overwhelming, often at an already difficult time. We can help you:

Understand what a Power of Attorney is, at a general educational level

Understand why a bank may need particular documentation

Prepare questions for your bank and organise your documents

Understand the practical banking steps once a valid authority is in place

What we don’t do: EMPIXO does not provide legal advice about whether someone should grant a Power of Attorney, what type of Power of Attorney they require, drafting or changing the legal document, or whether a particular document is legally valid. Those matters should be referred to a lawyer or other appropriate legal professional, and we’ll help you prepare for that conversation.

Bank Security, Fraud & Scam Awareness

Scams are getting smarter, faster and more convincing, and they don’t just target the careless. Through financial mentoring, Brett has extensive practical exposure to banking security concerns, suspicious transactions, scam worries and clients simply needing help understanding what’s safe or appropriate when dealing with their money.

This part of Banking Help builds your financial capability and practical banking safety, including:

Common scam and fraud warning signs

Phishing and impersonation awareness

Safe internet and mobile banking habits

Passwords and multi-factor authentication awareness

Protecting PINs, passwords and authentication codes

Remote-access and screen-sharing risks

Unusual or unexpected payment requests

Taking additional care before large or unfamiliar transfers

Independently verifying who a person or organisation is

Concerns about sending money overseas

Account authorities and access concerns

Helping family members who may be vulnerable to scams

Organising information after suspected fraud, and knowing what to gather before contacting the bank

Preparing questions for a bank’s fraud or security team

Building safer banking habits

The EMPIXO principle: Pause Before You Pay

Before making a significant or unusual payment, stop. Independently verify who you are dealing with, understand why the payment is being requested, and seek appropriate help if something does not feel right.

This is financial capability education, not a guarantee that EMPIXO can identify whether every payment, person or transaction is legitimate.

If you think your account has actually been compromised: act now, don’t wait for us

EMPIXO is not a bank fraud department, a cybersecurity provider, a fraud investigator, the Police, a lawyer or an emergency service.

If you believe your bank account has been compromised, your credentials have been disclosed, your card or account has been accessed, or money has been fraudulently transferred, do not wait for a coaching session. Contact your bank promptly through an independently verified official channel, and take any other appropriate emergency or reporting steps.

Afterwards, EMPIXO can help you organise your information, understand the banking process, prepare questions, and rebuild safer financial systems.

Your credentials stay yours. Never provide EMPIXO with your internet-banking passwords, PINs, one-time passcodes, authentication-app codes, security tokens or other secret banking credentials. We will never ask for them, and nobody legitimate should.

Who Delivers Banking Help

Brett Cole brings around 20 years of banking, lending and financial mentoring experience, helping people understand banking systems, organise their finances and prepare for important financial conversations.

That experience informs the coaching. Brett is not currently acting on behalf of any bank, and Banking Help is not a regulated financial advice service.

Where coaching ends and regulated advice begins

EMPIXO Banking Help provides coaching, education and practical support. General lending education is part of that. However, a personalised recommendation about a particular lender, mortgage, loan, product, refinance option or lending structure is regulated financial advice, and sits outside this coaching service.

If that’s what you need, we’ll point you towards EMPIXO’s future Financial Advice pathway or another appropriately authorised adviser.
