Professional support, financial education and practical capability for mentors, workplaces, community organisations and education providers.

For more than two decades, the experience behind EMPIXO has been built across banking, lending, financial mentoring, financial education, business and community development. We’ve worked with people in bank branches and boardrooms, in schools and tertiary education, in community organisations and workplaces, and in housing programmes and financial mentoring services, with people experiencing everything from serious financial hardship to first-home ownership and longer-term wealth building.

EMPIXO Professional is where we put that experience to work for other professionals and organisations.

What We Do

Four Ways We Work With You

Financial Mentor Supervision

Supporting the people who support others: a space to reflect, explore boundaries and keep developing as a mentor.

Training & Workshops

Financial education people can actually use, tailored to the audience, not forced into one presentation.

Schools & Education

Learn Before the Big Decisions Arrive

Students learning about money in a classroom

Some of the best financial problems are the ones we can help people avoid. Brett’s experience includes delivering financial education in schools and colleges across the Manawatū, alongside working as a Student Financial Mentor within tertiary education. We’ve seen how powerful it can be when people learn the basics before taking on their first major debt or making their first major financial decision.

Financial education can explore areas including banking, budgeting & cash flow, debt & credit, KiwiSaver, saving & investing, compounding, home ownership, financial risk, building financial confidence and making better financial decisions.

The goal isn’t to turn every student into a financial expert. It’s to help them enter the real world financially better prepared.

Experience From the Front Line

Community & Social Services

EMPIXO’s approach hasn’t been developed from financial theory alone. The experience behind it includes work across:

Department of Corrections – Linton Prison
Ministry of Social Development – Ready to Rent
UCOL
Te Tihi o Ruahine
Financial Mentoring Services
Refugee Settlement Support
Food Banks & Community Organisations

That breadth of experience means we understand something important: you have to start where people are.

IMPACT

We don’t want to deliver training simply so everyone can say training was delivered. We want people to leave more capable than when they arrived.

How We Start

Built Around Your Organisation

We know every organisation is different. So start by telling us: Who are you trying to help? What’s happening now? What would you like to change? What would a good outcome look like? Then we’ll explore what might help.

It could be a one-hour workshop, a speaking engagement, a series of financial education sessions, ongoing Financial Mentor Supervision, one-to-one employee mentoring, an education programme, online resources, or something we haven’t built yet.

Start with the outcome. Then build the solution.

Who We Want to Work With

We’re interested in conversations with:

Financial Mentors & Financial Mentoring Services
EAP & Wellbeing Providers
Employers & People Teams
Schools & Tertiary Education Providers
Community Organisations
Housing Providers
Government & Social Service Organisations
Not-for-Profits
Professional Associations
Conference & Event Organisers

Let’s Build Something Useful

A couple planning their finances together

You don’t need to know exactly what service you need before contacting us. Tell us about your people, the challenge, and what you’re trying to achieve. We’ll start there.

Learn. Share. Develop. Impact.

Educate First. Empower Always.
